Where or how do you find the id plate or model info on your transmission so it can be properly identified?

weird location. what else is on that sticker? and why do you need the transmission model to decide on rear ends?

i am putting micoblue bearings on everything but the engine and just checking my options for a tranny swap and if i change the tranny what gears or tranny and dif's i want

also the sticker contains all the part and id numbers for all the axles engine paint ect ect it has a lot of info that is usually on the door stickers.

the tranny number is printed on the door sticker - so you don't have to crawl under the truck.

ive looked on both doors at all the stickers and there is no info about the tranny main ifo is about the stock tires the weight of some parts emissions information and vin

The only way you can tell for sure is the data plate that is brad riveted on the main case on the passenger side of the transmission. The possibility of a tranny swap is a factor and rolling the dice by looking at the door sticker is a big gamble....Do you feel lucky?
