Trouble building air pressure when it's cold.

I have a 99 detroit 12.7 in a volvo. I've been having a problem in the mornings building air pressure especially on cold mornings. It used to be, I would have to wait until the oil temp hit 145 degrees. Then the air pressure would build from 30 psi to it's max pressure. Now I have to warm it up to 162 degrees before it will build over 30 psi. I've replaced the air dryer, thinking that was the problem. But it still hasn't changed that problem. It still exists. If I run my generator all night and keep the engine heater on all night it don't seem to have that problem. Anybody else experience this phenomena? And how did you solve the problem???

Have you tried changing the air governor there about 15 dollars

How tough are they to change? Mine is directly connected to the compressor.

I am not sure where your compressor sits but my air governor is attached to compressor also on series 60 Detroit and I can change mine in about 20 to 30 minutes there fairly easy to change

Mine was kinda a !@#$%. Couldn't see the gasket to clean off and trouble with tools. Took about 2 hours from decision to rolling on the road.
