Help finding air leak

When I shut my truck off for any length of time I lose all my air. After the air pressure builds up and I pump and hold the brakes I don't lose any pressure. I'm thinking this tells me its not in airlines? Where should I begin to look for this leak? Should I get a spray bottle and just start spraying from the front to the back.?

Thanks so much

Kathy: I have heard that if you can get some a/c die thy use to find leaks in a/c

it works great finding leaks in your air system.

The first thing to try is to isolate the suspension by parking with the air bags dumped. If the leak slows or stops, spray soapy water on the inflated air springs to find which one is leaking. I have several leaking between the top and frame lately, from deicing chemicals.

I had a slow air leak like you described. As in your case, when I built up my air pressure and held my brakes, I wouldn't lose any air pressure. Recently I noticed the air leak was getting worse (over the course of 1 day). I was able to isolate the air leak and discovered I had a brake chamber leaking. Once I replaced that chamber, my air loss (after sitting overnight or over a 34 hour restart) was greatly reduced.

Get you one of those small garden sprayers and put some dish washing liquid in it and fill with water. Spray down all the air hoses around the engine and along the frame rail real good bubbles will develop where the leaks are. Easiest way I have found to do it.

Don't rule out the airbags that support the cab. I just had to replace mine and my air leak(s) were greatly reduced.
