Where to find a shop near Pittsburgh pa

I run 50% empty. I would like to convert my truck into a 2 x 6 with a forward Lift axle I was wondering if there is a shop that does that near Pittsburgh. What should I expect for fuel savings

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Not sure if Pittsburgh Power does that kind of work, but they are in Saxonburg, PA. If they don't do it, they can probably recommend a shop that can do it.

MVT runs a single screw with both axles on the ground and iirc they see .7 mpg on average. with one axle up you may see 1mpg or better but i've also spoken to a guy with that set up and he only saw around .5 mpg gain - still not a bad investment.

I've been running a single drive with a tag axle down for 2 years now and it has cost me more in tire wear than I saved in fuel.

I think you mean a 6 x 2 (6 wheel positions, 2 of them drive).
