What's the best cell phone Blue Tooth headset

Has anyone found a good quality cell phone Blue Tooth head set?

I suggested the New Blue Parrot B250-XT to a driver. He bought it. When he called me with it he sounded muffled no matter what he did. I recommended he take it back. He did.

This Saturday 6/16/12, I was able to do a hands on with the new Top Dawg Blue Tooth Stereo head set for truckers. I called the same driver from inside the steel building, he said it sounded real good. He called me back 15 mins. later, and asked me to buy him the headset. I bought one for me, him, and one other driver. I called him and some others from the underground garage, and it still sounded great. One can also listen to music with these also although I haven't tried it yet.

Note: As I understand it is the law now calls for a $2,700 fine for a driver that drives while using a handheld, and $10,000 fine to the company.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Its good to hear that you like Voyager Pro. I did my home work as you call it. Spoke to a number of people about a number of headsets. They had complaints.

I guess it makes you feel smart to use the phrase do your homework. I didn't like your smart !^* response last time and I don't like it now. Your just a natural born p. If you want to make smart @*# responses make them on Lets Truck site, not here on solutions. If you keep acting like a foggen idiot I will respond to you like your an idiot, which you are. Come here to help, don't be an F idiot. :)

How do you get stereo sound with only 1 ear for headset. I do believe if you have both ears covered with headset then that illegal to wear while driving. I have the Bluparrott B250-XT and seems to be the best sounding one i have so far

Top Dawg has two ear phones, hence offering stereo. One can be lifted up when not being used.

i use the jabra freeway speaker phone, does pretty good.

had to make a mount for it since it's built to put on the sun visor, and that turned out to be little far in the truck.

waiting to see if anyone comes out with a 3 mic unit that allows you to set it so the only thing it will pick up is you.

I use the Icon from Jawbone and love it!

http://jawbone.com/headsets/iconhd/overv...

It has great noise canceling ability. Also got an ear piece that is molded silicone that keeps in in place in my ear.

The small headsets with dual mics work well, such as the jawbone or plantronics pro, although some may find the volume to be less than an over the head model, which clamps a speaker against your ear. The small ones are less cumbersome andmore discreet. As far as the over the head and behind the head models go, blue parrot, blueplanet, and a few others offer great products. Getting the mic to the source increases the noise cancelling whether using the newer dual mic or more traditional dual port oppossed phase design. I use the smaller units for normal use and my blue parrot for longer conference calls.

I agree, the small ones are less cumbersome and more discrete, this is what I've been looking for. The low volume is a problem, & this is why I ended up going with the Top Dawg. The vol is great, along with stereo capacity. These are new so time will tell, but tech changes so fast, wither they last my not be to important. The reason I posed the question is to see if I could find a small headset. My HOMEWORK has come up with the over the head set as being the best for talking. Thanks Dan.

Blue Parrot and Top Dawg, are hands down the best headsets.

1. Illinois is expanding it's law on headphone devices in CMVs to include cellular phone headsets, both mono and stereo, so a speakerphone is better if you can get it.

2. The trucker-friendly headsets are a little on the bulky side, typically blocking one ear.

A dual-mic headset (Blue Parrot, Top Dawg, Jawbone or Plantronics pro) is always better than a single-mic (Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc...) headset.

The Plantronics Voyager Pro is the best one that I've found. It works great in a noisy environment like a truck.

They have a new model: Voyager PRO HD that has even more features...

I liked the Voyager Pro. I bought one in 09 the listener had problems with hearing me. It was tinny sounding.

I heard if you want real telephone quality headset the mic needs to be close as possible to the mouth, hence the boom mic.
