How to enter data on profit gauges?

i have my settlement statement in front of me and i want to enter it into profit gauges...

lets say my settlement is 100 dollars. my deductions are 50 for fuel and 10 for insurance. Do I need to use the retained earnings slot for these and then go to the same months expense report and include the above or will they automatically sync if i dont use the retained earnings thing.

The idea for the retained earnings category is for anything that is not deductible to your business for taxes. The ONLY reason why you'd use this for fuel is if you entered in on your monthly side. If you do not track your fuel expense on the monthly side then you'd need to your fuel expense on your settlement to the actual FUEL category.

If you enter a particular expense in the settlements then you DO NOT enter that same expense again. Both the monthly expenses and settlements will merge together in the report section.

I hope that helps you some.
