If they go to a true laboratory yes. Gulf Coast filter uses Titan Laboratory $20.50 with prepaid postage US mail per sample and Jerry Sims at Gulf Coast explains it to you. 10 to 14 day turn around. Amsoil uses Horizon Laboratory 25.75 with prepaid postage UPS and you can get your results on line 3 to five days. They also have online classes to learn how to read your samples. They both want your cell phone number for serious sample readings.

No, they are not all the same. Some do not detect ULSD, others don't clean there machines well enough between samples. Polaris Labs is the recommended place to get it done from those who follow Kevin Rutherford's advice.

Because that is the lab used by OPS - who is a sponsor - and a lot of us wh

o listen to the show. You forget Kevin has also said that CAT has a good lab. Gulf Coast is a good lab as well and they will call you and go through the sample, if they think there's an issue. However, i don't care much for the owner because of the the way he advertises (on Landline Now). Still, a good lab with personal involvement - Polaris won't call you...

Single sample - go to speedco or a nearby truck dealer (most have a simple machine that'll give you a clue about your engine).

If you want to make it a regular thing pick one from: Polaris (subjectively the best because I use the OPS system); Gulf Coast - simple, get kits and ship from TAs and Petros + live/personal support; CAT lab.
