Does anyone know the shop Kevin recomended for lift axle conversion?

I want to convert my tractor to a single axle tractor with a lift axle. I dive 100K miles per year in the tanker operation, of which, 50K miles are empty miles. Do you think this would be worth it for me.

Rowe Truck Equipment in Indiana is where we have bought the lift axles from, I did not have mine installed there, but I think if you can get there it would be a great choice. 50% empty with a tanker is about the best choice for this setup.

I believe he had Fitzgerald install them when he built the original Signature Truck. I believe the total cost of the conversion was around $6,500. Never heard any numbers for MPG improvement, but a guess of around 1 MPG with the axle up.

Can the rear drive axil be gutted and made into a lift or must a new axil be purchased? I'm always light and would love to lift, in poor conditions be nice to still have that drive to drop and lock up.
