Buying first truck and it’s deleted

I’m looking at a truck and trailer to buy as my first truck. It’s a Pete 386 with a complete emissions delete and tune on an ISX.

I’m having a dilemma here and don’t know what to do….buy a good truck with a delete ? or get a truck with emissions and take a chance on going broke before I get started paying for DPF maintenance.

has anyone heard of actually getting in trouble for having a delete ? I’m running the Midwest.

feeling uncertain…….thanks

Definitely truck with delete. If it was done right, you’ll be OK. Emission stuff is just not right for these big rigs. I think idea is great, but execution is just not there yet. We’ve had trucks and every one of them that was newer got deleted. We’ve saved money, and engine performed so much better each and every time. You will definitely appreciate one with delete during winter months, without all that emission crap choking your engine.
