What Gear Lube do I use in this situation

Bought a 1993 FLD with a super 10 and it has 4.10 Rockwell rears, it’s about ready for the road and was gonna change the rears and Tranny Lube, I know somebody that runs 80/90 in all 3 in a 94 Pete for years never had an issue, I called where I bought it they said they ran 85/140 in the rears and 80/90 in the tranny, so the question I have is do I keep running the same? Do I flush it out and run something else or just run 80/90 in all 3 ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If I were to change grade don’t the tranny need to be flushed out ? I don’t know about putting synthetic in an old truck like that now, it already has over a million and half miles on it

No. Besides if the oil is good and hot it when you drain it will drain very well

no reason to flush
