PG, P&L comes out in the red every time, can't be!

I have tried to figure out what I have done wrong and I can't see any thing but accounting is to high.

I know I can't run every month in the red I don't have the money to do that. Sure, I'm almost drowning but, I'm far from broke.

I've refigured fuel and double checked my numbers and the only thing I can see is ACCOUNTING. What all is included in "accounting" on the profit and loss and business statements?

At our Company, You get line haul minus 25% fee plus Fuel surcharge. Ive been putting in my load pay (after 25%), plus FSC Minus deductions. Settlements are OK, PROFIT AND LOSS IS OVER THE TOP,why? I can't figure it out I need some help please!!!!!

Thanks for any help in advance, SS

I checked out your "List Management" page and here is what I found:

  1. You have the settlement deduction of "Advances" linked to the category "Accounting". This should be "Retained Earnings" since the act of receiving the advance is not deductible but rather what you spent that money on. (I fixed this for you). Doing this took your Accounting account down considerably.
  2. You have another settlement deduction of "Paid Deficit" linked to "Accounting" and this also should be a "Retained Earning" because you are making up for a negative balance from a previous settlement, which you should have already recorded the expense. So you are wanting to balance out the current settlement. (fixed as well). If this is not the case please call me with the exact reason and we'll get you squared away. 855-800-FUEL

With these changes your business report looks much better.

Great job Aaron!

I love this, it's a huge advantage to having your accounting in the cloud. In the past when I have tried to help someone with their accounting and it was on their own computer, it was almost impossible to track down the problems. Now we can easily help you set up or correct your entries and get you on the right track. After you see it for a few times you'll be off and running and doing it on your own. AND you'll have a much better idea of how your business really operates.

That is great that our info is stored in the cloud! My YNAB budgeting program also stores my info in the cloud and until I started using that program I never knew or even realized how much I would enjoy that. It's nice to know that my info is very secure in the event that I lose my laptop due to hard drive failure or theft and that I can access my info from any computer/device with internet access.
