Peterbilt qudraflex spring suspension usefulness

i just purchased a 2001 Peterbilt with a quadraflex spring suspension. I plan to go over the truck and make the necessary repairs or upgrades prior to putting it into service. i plan on pulling a liquid asphalt tanker and a dump trailer . All of my other Peterbilts have air ride suspensions. Are their any advantages to the spring suspension? Can I or should I consider upgrading or changing to air suspension?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Spring ride is generally harder on a driver's back. Also in some applications you will need a load pressure gauge and an air ride suspension makes setting up that gauge easier.

There aren't many advantages to spring ride. The only ones I can think of are simplicity of maintenance and perhaps the ability to carry a couple more pounds.
