I've got a 99 T2000 with the N14 pulling flatbed all over. 525hp, 1850tq, 2.64 rears, 65mph @ 1475(ish) getting 6.7mpg for an annual average. I don't know what you're pulling that your max weight is so low but that light I run mid to high 7mpg. Over 8mpg if I was light on the throttle.

I've got wide singles on drives. If you like running 60 switch the rears to 3.70. Do you pull a step deck or wedge trailer?

Sounds like this truck was specced out to run 55 mph in the east coast states, or Cal. You may get away with 60 mph but no more. If you can get yourself to run 55 or so and shut the cruise control off this will be a high mpg money making machine! Good Luck!
