Old Style Water pump Series 60 Detroit

I have a 97 FLD with a 12.7 series 60. A while back I ended up having to replace the water pump on it. Since then the truck has run cold, about 160 degrees even though it has 190 thermostats. Since then I've talked to Freightliner and found out they changed water pump styles to one with a higher flow and they no longer offer the old style water pump that was originally on the truck. I was wondering if anyone knew a good aftermarket dealer that supplied the old style pumps?

don't worry about the newer water pump. Your thermostats will maintain the 190 temps. The newer water pumps are higher outputs for egr engines, and they will just be fine on the older engines.

The newer pump with the higher output is the problem I'm facing. Switched thermostats thinking I had one stuck open after replaced the pump because my water temps never came back up to normal operating temp. The higher flow especially becomes problematic once outside temperature drops below freezing because then water temp plunges lower and heater will not work even with a winter front on.
