mpg's on coronado glider

was wondering if anyone has a frt. coronado glider with 12.7 det. and what kind of mpg's they were getting. thinking of buying one probably 13 speed/with

There's a guy that posted to the Fitzgerald glider kit fb page that has a truck spec'd to what you're looking for. He is now getting above 7MPG.

the faster you go the MPG go down & the slower you go the better MPG go way up?

But how that works out is how the truck is geared, the terrain, and the load. One has to have the engine at the optimum RPM range at the slower speed to seriously make any appreciable gains. Slower is better from an aerodynamic perspective, but it has to be also matched with the right engine RPM, depending on the engine. Get them both to match up properly and you have some serious mpg gains.

I've got the Columbia Fitzgerald glider daycab with the Eaton 10 and I got 6.9 mpg today. Kept the rpms between 14 and 1500 and was doing 66/7 mph. Just lettin ya know what the fitz reman 12.7 is capable of.
