My engine fan is stuck on all the time

1999 freightliner century. My fan is on all the time. I traced it back to the fan switch and I'm not getting power to the switch. I found one fuse for the engine fan but it was ok. I've temporally ran a hot and a ground to the fan switch and have connected it to a switch on my dash so I can turn the fan on and off manually, this is working with no problems but I'd like to get it fixed the right way. Any ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

You also have a pressure switch in your A/C system that power flows through that could be stuck open.

Do you have a check engine light on? Your ecm will automatically turn fan on for certain codes as a safety. And that will kill the ground or power to clutch fan solenoid depending if on switch you have
