dashboard display not working on 99 freightliner century

The digital dashboard display, where the mileage, trip records, target mpg and codes appear turned off. Everything on the entire dash is working just fine including all the indicator lights and alarms. My biggest problem now is I can't keep track of mileage. I've checked, cleaned, and serviced all wires from the battery box all the way through the truck and the ECM connections. What do I do now?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Did you open the dash and see if the display came unplugged?

Where is the plug? There is two main plugs that go to the whole dash. They are intact. theres like a metal cover on the inside, do I need to take this off and inspect?

I just had that problem last night on my Kenworth T2000, it turned out to be the fuse to the radio. Since the cont. power to the radio was direct to the fuse box i didn't think to look there. It made data port not have power ( scan gauge). Who would of thought that the data port gauges and radio would run out of the same fuse labeled "radio" I know that these are 2 different trucks. But i would pull every fuse and check. I hope this helps. Btw I had just changed the radio so after hours and a good night sleep i remembered to look there.
