Engine shuts off while fast idling

I have an '07 Century with an MBE 4000 engine. While idling if I bump the cruise up some, but not full fast idle, after a few minutes it will turn the cruise off. If I bump the cruise all the way to fast idle, then after a few minutes if will shut the truck off completely. There are no fault codes or anything after this happens. Anyone had any probs with this and know of a solution?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is the truck new to you? If so, that may be the way the previous owner has the ECM parameters set to discourage idling.

In my Classic, I used to have to wait at idle for the shut down light to flash, then I would step on the clutch petal and that bypassed the shut down and then I could set my idle to 900 or so, and never worry about the engine shutting off. I went to Sindalls Truck service in New Holland, Pa., and they quickly reset the perimeters in my computer
