Co is moving their drivers to per diem pay at 100%?

2013 will be paying their drivers per diem (no management fees). Are advising that per diem is now paid AND deductible at 100% of $59 and partial days are now counted as full days! Mentioned about new tax rule clarifications in the last couple of months. Great if this is true but I haven't heard of this. Anyone?

That's news to me I have not heard any tax rules concerning per diem rate changes it's still 80 percent Of 59 dollars a day plus don't forget the 2 percent you have to deduct from the total. Your question is a bit confusing sounds like you're asking the company is going to be paying 100 percent wages in perdium That would be totally against all rules.

Why would you deduct 2% from the total? Also, why would it be illegal for a company to only pay per diem? There are plenty of companies that do this.
