Best choice for steer tire

Hey I'm trying to decide on a best choice for steer tire(highway application). I'm looking at michelin xza3 and continental hsl2 eco plus. Anyone of you guys running them now? Any suggestions.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I think I'll go with Conti's then, save me few bucks. I had Conti's on drives before and I liked that rubber they were made out of. Nevere had a problem in the winter time or rain.

i have the conti's and i love them, cheaper than the michelin too..

i run the low pro 24.5 in the H rating (16 ply)

i also run the conti drives as well..the best tires made in my opinion

I got 197 000 miles out of my last set of ZA3's. Excelent steer tire! Im curious to see what I will get out of these new plus's!

I've run them both and they are both excellent tires. I ran the Conti's and got almost 200,000 from those steering tires and have purchased the Michelin XZA3 and are running them now. For the money I would buy the Conti's. The rolling resistance is close so I don't think you will be disappointed. ''italic text''

I think the Cont was probably a good idea, if you use the Michelin fuel savings calculator and put all the drives and the trailer tire at the same between the two different fitments and change only the steer tires the Michelin's end up costing you more in fuel over 120,000 @ 7.4 mpg (I'm playing around with calculator so I used my specs)

Does anyone have any experience with Hankook AH11s? I'm thinking about trying these in a 315/80R22.5 on my 18,000lb steer axle. I'm in Michigan and these look like they would be good here due to the siping. Any feedback would be appreciated.
