I'm only responding because there has been no answers after 3 days. I would call Pittsburgh Power. They would have the best answer for you. Let us know what they tell you.

There are numerous shops that will take the EGR/DPF off and reprogram the ECM to make it a non EGR system. Just look on the Internet and you'll find someone who will do it. Just remember that you are breaking all EPA rules regarding emissions. The legality may vary from state to state as they enforce the rules.

I have removed mine on a Detroit DDEC-V. Call PDI in Saint George,UT. they have outlets all over the US and they have there own Dyno they have tested there products. Good luck... Clifford

I went the PDI route. Full-Tilt (they do the exhaust manifolds for Pittsburgh Power) also has options now with a bully dog programmer that works better than PDI as everytime someone hooks to ECM on PDI program you loose it! I'd call Full-Tilt

Do you know of anyone who has installed a bullydog on a DDEC6 DPF Detroit or a DPF ISX Cummins? I see on their website they offer a tune program for each now.

Without actually removing it I have effectively eliminated it by unplugging it. 400,000 miles unplugged without any EGR problems, no black soot on my trailer and lower egts. Only problem is that I have to plug it back in before they put the engine on the computer for any reason. Then it shows numerous codes of EGR valve having been inoperative, but that it is now operating properly. Then I have to unplug in it again. This is on an '04 ISX.

Gee, this plug must have come loose! Plug it back in and you are legal.

I called Pittsburgh Power Quoted me $8,500.00 to remove egr, replace manifold, and turbo. They are booked up until November. I have had mine unplugged for 350,000 miles works fine gained 6 tenths, & no more smoke.

The EGR "died" on my ISX in the closed position almost 500,000 miles ago. I also installed a steel plate "block" where the EGR tube connects to the intake manifold about 50,000 miles prior to the EGR dying. My ISX has effectively been a non-EGR variety for most of its 848,000 miles. Total cost..... about $15 and an hour of my time. And Cummins could care less.

My 2006 isx is getting horrible fuel mileage about 2.3 I have no smoke problem so is this an egr problem or something else

My programmer guy will gut your ISX emission system , give you power, and fuel economy.

You will not be able to see anything was done to your truck, it will look totally legal.

PM me and I will send you his info, and I'm pretty sure it won't be 8 grand.

all you need to spend is a phone call to find out

They sell the UGLY FIX It really works have used it in both my Pete 386 I got it for 125 bucks and did my self Mechanic wanted to charge me 90 bucks took me 10 mins LOOK the up online

i did my isx new 5 trucks with cm2250 isx with these guys Cummins DPF EGR SCR delete tuning

well, what can i say beside that i am super happy. gained from 0.75 to 1.1 MPG.

everything runs perfect. i kept the original cummins vgt turbo, and only deleted the aftertreatment systems.

i also did some older detroits (egr only and vnt delete), and i was more than happy.

It begs the question... do they do a EGR only shut off via an ECM tune and leave the other stuff intact and functioning? For one that is still in warranty, it would be the best way to approach this I would think. The EGR really creates a stack of issues, and shutting it down, even without shutting off the other stuff would be a big plus. Just a random thought.

What year is your trucks? And does this do away with def also?

Yes you electrically close the EGR valve & install small plug on intake manifold that's the 100% best way to do it. Very easy. Then I flash the ECM and usually re-map them at the same time.

Feel free to call-text-email anytime. Price match w/ warranty. Most ISX guys can get 7-7.5+mpg with a Delete & re-map
