Improving fuel economy with a W900 running a 12.7 Detroit
I would like to know what steps I could take to improve my fuel mileage. I have a W900 with a 12.7 Detroit, 13 spd, 3.55 rears on lp24.5 Accutreads. Pulling a covered wagon usually in the 75K-80K range. I'd like to make inexpensive steps first and eventually move up to a Pittsburg Power Box. I have 1.25 million miles and I've rolled mains (unnecessarily I think) and replaced the head gasket. Other than that, it's all original, even the turbo, so I've been taking good care of it. I run Amsoil and have no aftermarket products on it. Thanks.
Is this a good question?
