changing wheel size from 22 to 24 inch

i have a freight 2007 14L detroit with 22.5 tires running 70 mph at 1700 rpm.what would be the difference in changing to 24 inch rims in speed and rpm.would like to keep the speed but lower rpm for better fuel milage.ty

My friend did this with 3.55 gears, he went from 24.5 low pro, to 22.5 low pro. The rpm raised 50 at the same speed. Yours would drop 50 rpm, not enough to pay for the change.

Do not do it, changing to 24.5 tires will increase the rolling resistance and decrease the fuel mileage. 24.5 tires are getting more difficult to find, they are still out there, but cost more as you pay tax on the pounds of rubber used in making the tire, and a 24.5 takes more rubber than a 22.5
