Suggestions for New Motor

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2000 Kenworth T800 with a Cat C12. It needs an inframe now and I am considering moving away from the C12 to a 3406.

It is a 10 speed Eaton and I do local work (mostly intermodal containers, vans, etc.).

Any thoughts on whether a 3406 would work with my truck and any other suggestions about different motors I could slip in to the truck as is?

Thanks

, 3406-E, , preferably with the 6NZ prefix, and then all the rest of it to make it run. I would not bother with the 3406-B mechanical.

,,, Malinson was on the radio saying all 6NZ's are 2000 or later; however they have a handle on the earlier prefixes .

Most of the T800 that had a C-12, also had a short hood, C-10 and C12 are all that will fit. The C-12 is a great engine, why mess with perfection!
