FASS system for ISX

Can anyone tell me if it's worth getting the FASS system for a 2009 Cummins ISX? I have heard that because this engine has a high pressure fuel rail that the FASS may not be very effective.

I have one on my 08' 600 ISX. I Put it on last July and have seen no difference in performance or fuel mileage. The second electric fuel pump on it just died this week so Fass is sending me another. Not very impressed up to this point.

The Davco people told me the model I have on my Volvo only filters down to maybe 20 microns, maybe 15 microns.

I made bio-diesel from waste veggie oil, and did the whole wash system and made over 1000 gallons a month for 3 years.

Here is the benefit as I see it, I ran the FASS on my 2000 dodge truck with 75 HP injectors and a 50 HP power pup.

For any fuel you burn, water and dirt... grit and air are the demons.

The FASS has available through filter manufactures the ability to clean the fuel down to 1 micron, the system processes the fuel continuously many times over removing air and water. Depending on the model and pressure head you order your fuel is processed and returned to the tanks many times, which I think keeps problems in your tanks to a minimum and cleaner.

Without a system like this, you have pretty much one shot to get the demons out of the fuel you burn, I think it is worth the price.

The only person I know personally that has FASS, has it on a Cummins Signature 600. He says it works, noticeable difference.

Do you know the year of your friends 600? I believe the newer Cummins have a higher pressure fuel rail than the older models. Maybe something to do with EGR.

His was in a late 90's or early 2000's Freightliner Classic.

We have installed a FASS on our 2000 Freightliner with Detroit 12.7 L.

The difference is huge! We are very happy with the Fass. Fuel mileage

has increased, engine runs smoother quieter and pulls better.

I have the original Fuel Preperator now Pure Flow Technologies 877-463-4373 that was invented by Charlie the father of the kid that has Fass system. It takes the air out of the fuel which is very good for injectors. Your engine will wind up faster and in 18 th gear you will have some get up and go. At 150 gals per hour you are filtering your fuel system to the max plus you have any were from 12 to 18 lbs positive fuel pressure at all times.

I have a 2007 Volvo VN 780 with a 2006 Cummins 400ST and have installed a FASS system and I love it. It is by far the best add on that i have put on my truck. I have much better throttle response, it pulls way better and has given me a gain in fuel mileage. It adds 15 PSI fuel pressure to the fuel rail and flows my fuel through the filters at 200 GPH so my fuel stays very clean all the time. I change the filters on the FASS every 15,000 miles. I highly recommend this product for the cummins.....you will love it.
