Volvo dash power outlet and dome lights not working

Volvo VNL 730 - 07

The power outlet on the dash and above the windshield has topped working in my truck. Also the interior lights in the front of the cab have stopped working too along with all auxiliary switches. I've checked the fuses but they're not the problem. And they are all on different fuses anyway. It seems all functions on one row of fuses in the fuse box have stopped working. Does anyone know if there is a master fuse box or something like that that can cause this to happen.

Thanks

Problem Solved.

What I did was I unplugged the batteries for a couple of minutes and when I got back in the truck and tried to turn the bunk AC on it wasn't working. The display showed "1" and when I tried to turn the fan on it was beeping like an alarm clock so I unplugged it and problem solved. From what I gather there's a low voltage shut off system in the bunk that had turned the power outlets off...

Anyways, I'm good now. Thanks!

Could be a faulty switch if the dash is wired through one or like in my truck it could be a completely unrelated fuse that causes the outage. On my KW the radio fuse causes similar power cut to the gauge cluster and 12v power outlet.

Problem solved

Unplug the sleeper control panel to reset the low voltage disconnect.

How is this done?... disconnecting the sleeper control panel that is... sleeper is shutting down plus all axillary 12 volt outlets after new batteries installed and showing 13.6-14 ???

by

Unscrew all screws that hold the panel in place and pull it out. It won't go very far cause of the wires. Unplug all the wires and plug them back in.

That should solve this problem

Thanks will try....I catch it before shuts down when tractor is not running with flashing red light on sleeper panel and flashing switch right side of steering wheel that controls air to sleeper from driver... I push control down and nothing will shut down but fan for bunk heater is shut down too which is problem at night when it's getting colder unless I idle which sucks burning unnecessary fuel...will try sleeper control unplug as this is annoying trying keep perishable food fresh and run bunk heater now...

by

Update...unplugged sleeper control wires with some work but seems to have cured my problem of every shutting down and also may have fixed my 12 volt port problem of blowing fuses with my electric cooler with loose wires to 12 volt socket hopefully....Thx!

Volvo has a low voltage shut off that will shut all power off when batteries drop to 12 volts... enough to start the truck, if this happens just start the truck and let batteries build up.

You might have to unlug the control panel in the sleeper to reset the low voltage disconnect.
