Does Scangauge lose the average mpg every time the truck is shut off?

Is the ScangaugeKR suppose to keep the information or lose its average mpg every time the truck is shut off? My ScangaugeKR loses it average mpg every time the truck stops and is shut off. Just wondering if it is normal?

Dave,

The "AVG" reading on your main Gauge Screen will reset every time the ScanGaugeKR is powered off for three minutes or more. This is only a compromise because of the limited memory available in the ScanGaugeKR. We did not want to increase the price of the unit and cram more memory into the unit,

You can monitor a true, running Average Fuel Mileage in the TRIP Screen, just like Jason said. In TRIP A, scroll through until the top displays "MPG". That "MPG" will keep running an average until you reset TRIP A.

Here is a link to the video on the TRIP operation:

Hmm... Dont think thats true... Just sent my SG2 back to upgrade from 3.xx to 4.22..... Guess what... Avg went from tank or fill to fill avg to trip avg (between ignition cycles) how about giving us control of what it should be in the setup menus like other stuff. Same thing with fill accuracy. Alow when registering a fill up to adjust fuel adjustment.

It should only be resetting the current trip trip A B and the fuel should be holding the average until you reset. I use trip A for my weekly average and trip B for each trip also if you use the fill up part when you fuel it will hold an average until you next fueling
